Wallet Withdrawal Deadline

For clients eligible to withdraw digital assets from your BlockFi Wallet account – if you have not done so already, please login to BlockFi.com to submit a withdrawal request. Please submit a withdrawal request to receive your funds in crypto as soon as possible, before the Wallet withdrawal window closes on December 31, 2023 at 11:59 PM UTC. 

Please note the following key dates for processing Wallet withdrawals, with additional details below: 

  • Wallet withdrawal window closes on December 31, 2023 at 11:59 PM UTC.
  • Identity Verification information requests must be received by January 12, 2024 at 11:59 PM UTC.

BlockFi customers will need to take the following steps in order to facilitate a withdrawal  to their digital wallet:

  • Create an External Wallet: At this time, BlockFi will only support withdrawal of digital assets to external digital asset wallets. Clients will be able to make withdrawals to the third-party provider of their choice. BlockFi cannot recommend clients use a specific platform, and we encourage clients to perform their own diligence to ensure that their assets are transferred safely and securely.
  • Identity Verification Process: Clients will need to complete an Identity Verification Process for their withdrawal to be processed. The information to complete this process will be emailed to clients once a withdrawal request has been submitted. You will have until January 12, 2024 at 11:59 PM UTC to complete your Identity Verification Process. Clients who do not complete identity verification prior to this deadline will have their withdrawal requests canceled. Once the Wallet withdrawal Identity Verification Process window has closed on January 12, 2024 at 11:59 PM UTC, all remaining Wallet balances will be converted to cash and distributed to clients as U.S. dollars. This action will not be able to be reversed or canceled if you do not request a withdrawal by the end of the withdrawal window. Subsequent to final Wallet disbursements, BlockFi will work to open withdrawals for an initial distribution of estate funds to BIA and Retail Loan holders.
